141st Kentucky Derby Horse Racing : Will Favorite American Pharoah Wins?

Hold your horse's Mayweather and Pacquiao, the 141st Kentucky Derby is about to happen Saturday May 02, 2015 at Churchill Downs were favorite American Pharoah will wear No. 18 but will start from the No. 17 post after Stanford scratched from the race Thursday and no horse has won the Kentucky Derby from the 17th post position but we'll see because if American Pharoah is going to win Saturday's Kentucky Derby he'll do it from post position 18 in a full field of 20 horses and the stakes are high at $2 Million dollar as American Pharoah owner Ahmed Zayat is living the dream but still looking for Derby glory on top of the prize. The kentucky derby 2015 will have 21 horses racing against each other with the favorite american pharoah will be ridden by Victor Espinoza, who won the Derby last year on California Chrome which almost got the triple crown. Everyone else is here, including horses on winning streaks of six races (Dortmund), four (American Pharoah), three (Materiality and International Star) and two (Carpe Diem). Winners of the Santa Anita Derby (Dortmund), Wood Memorial (Frosted), Florida Derby (Materiality) and Blue Grass Stakes (Carpe Diem) are all present and accounted for so it's all ready to run. So whoever you're betting with it's you're discretion but at least go for the favorite one because here's the reality, American Pharoah (#18) is the likely favorite for Baffert.

A winner of four straight stakes races, the 2-year-old champion is very talented, drawing comparisons to former greats like Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew, and amazed onlookers in a workout at Churchill Downs last weekend, moving exceptionally fast in an effortless manner, however, American Pharoah isn’t bred to handle the 1 1/4-mile distance on his female side and he’s had a light campaign with two easy wins this year against overmatched rivals. He may be special enough to overcome these obstacles, but American Pharoah still has questions to answer at short odds, so let's see what the outcome is.
